Believe it or not I was a Law student before. Now don't get me wrong I enjoyed my time studying and diving deep into the world of legislation and criminal psychology, but when I left University there was the thought of "So do I try to be a solicitor now" rattling about my head. Having thought about it, I felt deep down that I did not really want to make that my career.
"This for the rest of my life?" I thought. No, I want to do something creative, be a part of a community of people creating things that help other people. As if by magic, one day, I came across a social media post about creative jobs people were doing and someone mentioned User Experience/User Interface design.
I spent about two weeks trying to figure out what it was and whether or not it was right for me, I think it is and I got to work educating myself, reading, listening, looking and practicing. (all of which I am still and will never stop doing).
I fell in love with the process, the making just as much as the researching, the testing, the writing and so on. It has brought me closer to family as well, My uncle in particular, being able to bond with him and talk about design to my hearts content has been invaluable our relationship and for my personal direction.
For a whole lot already and I'm sure more in the future, thank you to design.

An Artist at Heart.
I have been drawing, painting and making things forever I remember the reason I started to take drawing seriously was actually because there was a drawing competition amongst my friends in Primary/ Elementary School and I didn't win. I came to the realization later on that I was so motivated by that, not because I was angry I had lost, but because I realized I didn't know how to make what I wanted.
Big fan of any kind of physical activity
I Love Looking at the world around me
A thank you to design

I am many things but here's 3 for the sake of time.
PS. If you read all of that, Thank you too.
I love anything physical i can get my hands on. Powerlifting, Division 1 American football, muay thai etc, you name it, I have probably spent a little (or a long) time with it. I love a challenge anywhere in life and testing my body and my mind readies myself for the trials of the everyday.
I am deeply passionate about looking at things. Stay with me here. I appreciate the beauty and artistry in everything, from the materials and craftmanship that went into my beloved metal flask to the somehow perfect lighting that the sun provides every day. From typefaces to cake tins, I see, appreciate and love it all.
